  1. Brief review of highlights from recent literature ˆ 30 minutes: Presenter will prepare a list of 10-12 high impact articles relevant to stem cell research. The scope should be broad, including but not limited to Drosophila, animal models and human disease. Please include title, reference and abstract. Describe the major findings and impact in 2-3 sentences. Each presenter will do this only once per year so it should not be a big burden.
  2. Research-in-progress presentation – 35–40 minutes plus discussion. Presenters, please provide plenty of background so that non-experts will learn something from your presentation! Expect the format to be informal, with lots of questions and feedback. Again, we are asking only for a once-a-year presentation.
